A brief history of Lark Amusement Services & new owner
In 1970 Bob Lark established Lark Amusement at its present location
(824 State Street). Before that Bob had sold and maintained jukeboxes
and coin operated machines since 1945.
Ronnie Belitz purchased the business from Bob Lark when he retired
Lark Amusement Service owner Ronnie Belitz has an Associates degree
in Electronic Engineering. He previously worked for Sperry Univac
(UNISYS) for 16 years and became involved in the coin business, around
1979 while working at Sperry, because of the demand for electronic
service involving the "NEW" electronic video game, electronic
pinball and jukeboxes.
Ronnie also owned and operated over 200 machines from 1983 to 1994.
He started doing electronic repair work at Lark Amusement in 1988.
Ronnie continued to work for Bob Lark until his retirement.
He now has regular customers from Virginia, North Carolina, Tennessee,
Kentucky, and West Virginia. He has undertaken work for many customers
on a regular basis for the past 20 years.
